Interlude:
Dear Motola am writing you this letter to know how am feeling,
Am so down, honestly I don’t know what else to say
This is my story, I want you to hear it
Is there a perfect God? Is there a perfect Man?
I really don’t know, am so confused
Try to convince me
This is my life, this is my story

Verse 1:
When I was eight, I caught my mum in the car-park
She was having sex with a low-man
I fell down cause I felt down, she was shocked
Tried to pull me up, I ran into my room
Crying, made sure the door was locked
She knocked but I won’t even open
I tried not to think about it often
The memory developed and I started to
Hate her
And when I see a girl I feel like having sex with her
When am done I feel like I won, when she’s gone I feel better for myself
A memory I find hard to forget
She called, told me my real dad was the man at the gate
The man I use to send errands like will you open this gate
I swear on God mum, you’re driving me insane
Do you know how it feels to be called a bastard?
My whole life is filled with pain, shame and chains
Started doing coke (cocaine) to get my thoughts off me
Didn’t realize, now its got the best of me
24/7, 365
Addicted to sin I wonder if I can survive
To be sincere am feeling like

Chorus:
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm

Verse 2:
22nd October 2005, mum died in an auto-crash nobody survived,
since then every little thing seems to be hard
I pray my message gets to your mailbox tonight
Next year, I’ll be twenty-two if you know me in person you’ll know where am heading to
Probably, land of destruction
I was made to believe serving God is just an option
Bad habits inclined, addicted to pornography
me and my friends did the same thing like dancing school kids call that choreography
Cause everything I own is gone call me Job
am stranded on this road please can you walk me home
The ones I trust cut me off, you can call me Samson
Near to victory I can see it, emotions killed me like Moses
Can’t do it on my own am tired of trying and all those lies about God am tired buying
Am ready for the truth now am tired of lieing
Somehow, someway I found out am on the wrong lane of God’s way
Tola to you am sending this message
Can you help me find away

Chorus:
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm

Verse 3:
Let me start by telling you that I know how you feel
And am so sure God feels the same way better than me
He knows you, He knows you, knows your future
His got a good picture of your own future
He’s Here, right here with you, open your eyes and acknowledge His presence
Let him lead you through the obstacles
He knows where His taking you to
His got a plan, not a plan B a plan A for your day
Start starving on your flesh and feed on your faith
Same God for the blessed, same God for the cursed,
That’s why He came to die on the cross of Calvary.

Chorus:
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
And I can’t change
Even if I tried
Even if I wanted to
My love
My love
My love
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
She keeps me warm
